R3Y V1

An AI companion
with purpose.

See. Hear. Talk. Be with you. An open-minded device concept, built around real components and an honest engineering journey.

Design in development · Component imagery is reference-based, not a final assembly.

Made to feel human.

A companion-first product vision, still in development.

Grounded in real hardware.

Named boards and modules, not invented internals.

Built in the open.

Design intent and unresolved decisions shown honestly.

01 / The hardware

Every part.
A purpose.

Four currently selected references from the R3Y V1 master specification. These cutouts were generated from actual product photographs; they are not CAD or proof of an assembled device.

03 / TOUCH
Monochrome cutout of the DWIN 4.3 inch HMI module

DWIN 4.3″ HMI

04 / AUDIO
Monochrome cutout of the Waveshare 8 ohm 5 watt connected speaker pair

Waveshare speaker pair

SKU 14595 · 8 Ω · 5 W reference

Selected ref.

Still to verify: microphone, amplifier/DAC, fan and heatsink, power management, and the physical dual-18650 holder. No substitute images are shown for these.

02 / The envelope

Compact.
Considered.

The master specification defines a 150 × 110 × 110 mm enclosure envelope. That is a design target, not a measured finished product. Component fit, thermal behavior, battery safety, and internal mounting still require validation.

R3Y V1 / target envelope
150mm width
110mm height
110mm depth

Dimensions are X × Y × Z from the master specification. Final mass and launch date are not confirmed.

03 / Source truth

Built from references.
Clear about the unknowns.

The camera is the Waveshare Camera (E), not an IR-CUT module. The DWIN display is a serial HMI, not an HDMI or DSI monitor. The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W has mini-HDMI and micro-USB connectors; no USB-C port is claimed here.
